To remove unwanted hair, laser hair removal is a medical procedure that uses a concentrated beam of light. This concentrated beam emits a light that is absorbed by the melanin in the hair. The energy that comes from the light converts to heat and damages hair follicles that allow the production of hair. The damage caused to the hair follicles inhibits or delays future hair growth to the treated areas.

How can i prepare before receiving laser hair removal?

Stay out of the sun and apply broad-spectrum SPF30 sunscreen if you need to go in the sun.
Avoid sunless skin creams that can darken your skin
Avoid blood-thinning medications and supplements like aspirin, ibuprofen, Naproxen, Fenugreek, and Vitamin E
Shave or trim the area that is going to be receiving the laser treatment the day before.

Does laser hair removal hurt?

Our laser hair removal machine (Vectus Laser System) contains a large cool sapphire lens. This helps provide analgesia (inabilit to feel pain) during treatment.

Will my hair grow back?

Laser hair removal delays hair growth for long periods, and because of this, the result is not permanent. For initial hair removal, multiple laser hair removal treatments are needed, along with maintenance treatments. Laser hair removal can be used successfully on all skin types, but it is most effective for patients with light skin and dark hair.

What should I do after I get laser hair removal?

To reduce discomfort and redness or swelling after treatment, apply ice to the treated areas. Avoid sunlight directly after and between scheduled treatments. Use a broad-spectrum SPF30 sunscreen daily.
